Beancount

In a previous post, I shared why I chose Beancount to track financial data. I have been an user for some time. I have not found importers for Japan financial institutions so I wrote my own.

By labeling financial transactions with categories in Beancount, the tool automatically calculates the subtotals of each category, from which fava generates useful visualizations.
